Google Analytics is used on highlinehistory.org to analyze user behavior and visitor traffic. Google Analytics uses “cookies” (text files placed on the user’s computer) to anonymously collect and store Internet log information, such as what time the current visit occurred, whether the visitor has been to this site before, and what site referred the visitor to the web page.
Geographic data is also determined by the IP Address of the visitor’s computer. This anonymous information collected by the cookie is transmitted to Google. This data on Google Analytics is then used to evaluate visitors’ behavior and to generate statistical reports for the website activity on highlinehistory.org.
Highline Heritage Museum will never use any analytics tool that will collect or track any personal identifiable information of the visitors to this site. Google does not report the actual IP address information or any other personal identifiable information to Google Analytic customers. Highlinehistory.org does not associate any data gathered from third parties with any personal identifiable information except what is intentionally submitted by the visitor via the contact form.
